The inaugural 47.7 Poulsbo Film Challenge brought cinematic magic to life during the weekend of February 28th, with nine short films created in just 47.7 hours. On March 29th, the community gathered to watch the imaginative results on the big screen — a true celebration of creativity, collaboration, and Poulsbo’s unique charm.

Congratulations to Tommy Heffernan (@tommyisfilming) for taking home the judges’ top prize with his totally relatable job interview short About You, and to Andrew Tomayko (@andrewtomayko) for winning the Audience Choice Award with Vinatta — a beautifully shot film about whether life is abotu the journey, destination, or something else.

The challenge brought together filmmakers from Portland, Seattle, Kitsap, and beyond — students, seasoned pros, and fresh voices — all capturing Poulsbo through their own cinematic lens. Huge thanks to Poulsbo Film Festival founders Kevin and Bittina for creating a space that builds community and sparks imagination.

Visit Kitsap is thrilled to partner with Tommy to create a cinematic commercial celebrating Poulsbo.
