“Tourism on the Kitsap Peninsula isn’t just about where people stay—it’s about what they make possible,” said Aljolynn Sperber, Executive Director of Visit Kitsap Peninsula. “From supporting local jobs and businesses to funding community services through tax revenue, tourism continues to drive meaningful benefits across our region. This momentum gives us even more reason to double down on inclusive and inspiring marketing that shows the world what Kitsap has to offer.”

“As we prepare to welcome international travelers ahead of major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it’s critical to invest in strategies that reflect the diversity, beauty, and regenerative potential of the Kitsap Peninsula,” added Sperber. “We want visitors to feel like they belong here—because they do.

In 2024, key sectors such as lodging, food and beverage, recreation, and retail all saw strong returns, reinforcing tourism’s position as a cornerstone of Kitsap’s economic vitality. This data strengthens the case for continued investment in tourism marketing, infrastructure, and business development—ensuring Kitsap remains a welcoming destination for years to come.
