Grand Opening Festival at Quincy Square
July 12, 2025 | 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
Downtown Bremerton, between 4th Street and Pacific Ave
The City of Bremerton and the Downtown Bremerton Association (DBA) are proud to present the Quincy Square Grand Opening Festival on Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th, 2025. The community is invited to celebrate the long-awaited revitalization of Quincy Square, located on 4th Street and Pacific Avenue in honor of musical legend and civil rights trailblazer Quincy “Q” Jones, who discovered his lifelong love of music in 1940s Bremerton. Jones often shared the story of how, as a boy, he and his friends snuck into the Bremerton Armory hoping to snag a lemon meringue pie. Instead, he stumbled upon a piano and was so captivated by it that he knew instantly: “This is what you’re going to do for the rest of your life.” Today, Quincy Square—with its piano-inspired design—stands as a tribute to his enduring legacy in music, film, and uniting people through art.
