Seattle was named for Suquamish Chief siʔał (Sealth), who came to be known as Chief Seattle. The grave site is located in the town of Suquamish, and overlooks Puget Sound. This memorial was renovated and rededicated on Veterans Day, 2010. Find more information at the new
