Members of the Home Builders Association of Kitsap County worked with other community organizations to build the Kitsap County Veterans Memorial Park to honor all who have served in any era and is one of the few in the nation to pay tribute to six branches of service including merchant marines. Flags of all six branches fly over the memorial. Located at Silverdale Waterfront Park it offers beautiful views and is an appropriate location to reflect on what veterans have done for this country. Also honors Henry R. Johnson World War I Silverdale citizen who lost his life in the Muese-Argonne Offensive. Located near picnic shelter, children's area and public boardwalk and pier.
