Veteran’s Memorial Park
Parks & Trails
985 Retsil Rd SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366
The 48 acre park is a former navy and shipyard housing area for WWII workers. In the early 1980s, it was torn down and turned into a park with ball fields, playground, picnic area, restrooms. A set of 40MM refurbished Bofors guns once belonging to the USS Flint CL-97 was placed here as a memorial to veterans. The USS Flint was decommissioned in Bremerton in 1947.
